♻️ Launching a new program in 2024 - with a lot of opportunities for community involvement.

♻️ There’s a tremendous amount of waste in the fashion industry, and think we should be re-purposing old Diabetes themed T-shirts, for newly diagnosed patients.

Details for how to get your shirts to me are easy!

1. Have an old cotton shirt from any diabetes event.

2. Send to @matt.tarro !

3. Shirts are prepped and printed with new diabetes artwork

4. New shirts go to newly diagnosed patients.

Who can get a shirt?

Answer! Any people who have been recently diagnosed with type one diabetes. Prioritizing young children first - families, or friends of families will need to reach out and apply for a shirt.

Applying for the shirt on inkulin.com will be as easy as supplying a couple pieces of basic information.

Individuals who do not have a shirt to send, but would still like to help get an art care package to a newly diagnosed patient will have opportunities as well.

Personally, art has saved me when Diabetes puts a mental and physical stronghold on my existence - the only thing I like to do is draw. I’d love to help everyone else enjoy this experience as I do - ink and paint have became ways to express myself, I’m looking to help others achieve that feeling.

It's a comforting activity in a world filled with high and low blood sugars, social media, and misinformation.

My father, Bob Tarro, was a doctor for 40+ years in Rhode Island. He was also a naturally skilled artist who taught me everything I know about the craft. His greatest gift was helping me tap into my imagination, thus furthering my passion and my career. He passed away at the end of 2017 after a short battle with complications stemming from his Alzheimer's.

Helping others was second nature in my home since I was a child.

Mostly because of my mother, but my family ran a non-profit raising money for Breast Cancer research. A strong, outspoken woman with so much enthusiasm for life, her passing in 2009 at the young age of 55 was far too soon.

I’m using what my parents taught me to help those in need. MY STORY is one of change, happiness, and endurance.

I need to visit more people who have not tried something new, give them the opportunity to do so, and then help them try something new every day.

Let’s get communities together, share paint, and create some memorable art!

I’d love to get permits for spaces where a lot of eyes will see it every day..

I appreciate you.

Thanks
